Preserved Play
Preserved Play was a charity campaign hosted by YouTuber The Completionist in support of The Video Game History Foundation. The campaign centered around a two-day Twitch marathon, showcasing archival games and other gaming media. As the social media lead, I created a short-form video series spotlighting The Completionist’s personal collection, using nostalgic storytelling to reframe games as cultural artifacts worth preserving.

“I bought EVERY Nintendo Wii U & 3DS game before the Nintendo eShop closes”
In response to Nintendo’s announcement that the Wii U and 3DS eShops would be shutting down, The Completionist set out to buy and download every single game available — preserving them before they were lost. The full collection was donated to The Video Game History Foundation and became a centerpiece of the charity stream, turning a moment of loss into an opportunity to spotlight the importance of game preservation.
