My Role: Videographer, Editor, & Official adobo Taste Tester

Produced for the Sidewalk Talk YouTube channel, this video trades the traditional interview format for something a little more delicious. Filipino indie-pop artist Renee Dominique joins cookbook author Marvin Gapultos (The Adobo Road) and host Lara Santos for a casual day of cooking, eating, laughing, and storytelling — filmed with a fully Filipino crew. On the menu: fresh tuna kinilaw, aromatic chicken adobo, and sweet ginger beer cocktails.

Between bites and kitchen banter, the conversation shifts to Renee’s creative journey, including her musical upbringing, voiceover work for brands like Samsung, Audi, and Michael Kors, and her breakout collaboration with Jason Mraz.

As videographer and editor, I helped bring out the easygoing, communal energy of the shoot, but more importantly, I made sure everything tasted as flavorful as our conversations..
